The Georgia Tech women’s tennis sophomore duo of Megan Kurey and Kendal Woodard defeated rival Georgia‘s Lauren Herring and Maho Kowase, and punched their ticket to New York for the USTA/ITA National Indoor Tournament by winning the USTA/ITA Southeast Regional Doubles Title this morning.

The #26-ranked pair defeated their fifth-straight opponent in the tournament being hosted at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex in Athens, Ga., and have posted a 10-4 record in doubles this year, going 4-3 against nationally ranked opponents.

Kurey and Woodard will now move on to the USTA/ITA National Indoor Tournament in New York, which begins on Nov. 7.

The Yellow Jackets are off this weekend, but will return to the courts on Nov. 1, when they travel to the Crimson Tide Invitational.
