Georgia Tech Men’s Hoops: Previewing Yellow Jackets vs. Delaware State

Daniel Shirey-USA TODAY Sports

The Georgia Tech men’s hoops team opened up the season with a win vs. Presbyterian College, and will now attempt to go 2-0 on Monday night as they welcome the Delaware State Hornets to McCamish Pavilion.

Game Time: 7:00 pm ET

Venue: McCamish Pavilion – Atlanta, Ga.

Records: Georgia Tech (1-0, 1-0 home), Delaware State (1-0, 0-0 away)

All-Time Series: Georgia Tech leads 1-0

Last Meeting: Nov. 14, 2011, GT 70 – DS 52

Current Odds: None Published

Injuries: GT – Corey Heyward, Out for Season (knee); DS – None

TV: ESPN3

Radio: All News 106.7 Atlanta

In only the second ever meeting between the two teams, the Yellow Jackets will try to up their overall record as well as their head-to-head record to 2-0 against the Hornets.

The Jackets dominated Presbyterian 88-57 in the season opener, and should have similar success against Delaware State. The Hornets do play solid defense, but don’t have anywhere near the depth or scoring ability that the Jackets do. Look for sophomores Marcus Georges-Hunt and Robert Carter, Jr. to light it up once again against the Hornets, and freshman PG Travis Jorgenson should be able to have another solid outing off the bench.

This will be the last warm-up game before meeting rival Georgia in Athens, Ga. on Friday Nov. 15.
