Well folks this Saturday the 4-7 Alabama A&M Bulldogs come to Atlanta to face our 6-4 Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets in what should be the typical cupcake matchup. It wouldn’t be surprising to see somewhere upwards of 56 points from the Jackets
A somewhat large crowd is expected to appear at the game Saturday with tickets starting out at $9 on certain internet ticket brokerages, it should be an exciting game to watch as a Yellow Jackets fan.
Now from a statistical standpoint this could be yet again a historic game for Georgia Tech football, with several players chasing school records. Coming into the game quarterback Vad Lee currently leads the Yellow Jackets in passing yards with 1,170 and eight passing TDs, B-back David Sims leads the team in rushing with 635 yards and 10 rushing TDs, and A-back Robert Godhigh, the 5’8″ beast of a player, leads the team in receiving yards with 338 yards and two receiving TDs.
Alabama A&M has some offensive stars on their side of the matchup too. Jaymason Lee leads the Bulldogs in passing with 1,351 yards, 10 TDs and only six interceptions. Barrington Scott leads the team in rushing with 1,009 yards and seven touchdowns, and Montaurius Smith leads the team in receiving with 772 yards and five touchdowns.
Georgia Tech defense ranks 31st in points against should be able to handle the offense or anything that Alabama A&M throws at them.
Both offenses are pretty good. They have their bad games and their good games but the defenses may be a different story it will be mighty hard for the Bulldogs to keep up with the constant onslaught that is the Yellow Jackets option offense.
