Quarterback – Draw

Georgia Tech’s triple-option offense isn’t as dependent on traditional quarterback play as most teams. Vad Lee has been steadily improving on his grasp of running the option this year, but he’s also probably the best pure passer than has taken the field at Tech in a number of years.

Georgia, who would have had a decided advantage at quarterback until last week, will be sending redshirt junior Hutson Mason to lead the Dawgs. Mason looked fairly able in mop-up duty against a hapless Kentucky defense last week, but he’s yet to see any real game action, and certainly nothing as intense as he will experience on The Flats this Saturday.
