There wasn’t a lot of national interest in the Georgia Tech-Boston College men’s basketball game played on Thursday night in Atlanta. Between the snow postponement, and the fact that you had two teams near the bottom of the ACC playing, it just wasn’t supposed to be must-see TV.
But Marcus Georges-Hunt changed all that with his game-winning 3-pont shot (while being fouled, no less), as time was expiring. Both the ACC and ESPN gave this one a big thumbs up, with the ACC making it one of their Must-See Moments, and the Worldwide Leader ranking it at #2 on the SportsCenter Top 10.
Let’s face it, the injury-decimated Yellow Jackets haven’t had much to cheer about this season, so getting a little nod from the national and conference media makes for a nice entry into the weekend.
A little media love on Valentine’s Day for the Jackets.
