The Yellow Jackets have drawn a team who they were able to sweep during the regular season to open the the ACC Tournament, beating Boston College 68-60 on Jan. 21 in Chestnut Hill, and then pulling out a close one at McCamish, 74-71 in a game that had been postponed by Atlanta’s snow storm.
With the Yellow Jackets as healthy as they’ve been all year, and riding a two-game winning streak coming into the tourney, they should be able to handle the struggling Eagles.
Bigs Daniel Miller and Robert Carter, Jr. are playing some of the best ball they have all year, and it’s certain that Miller and fellow senior starter Trae Golden want to go out fighting as they close out their careers.
Should the Jackets advance from day one action in the tournament, they would move on to face the #6 seed Clemson Tigers, a team the Yellow Jackets played tough twice, but came up short in both games this year.
