The ACC released the basketball schedule rotation for the next two seasons on Tuesday morning, and Georgia Tech basketball will have some great home-and-home matchups in 2014 and 2015.
Clemson, North Carolina, Notre Dame and Wake Forest will be in Tech’s rotation for 2014; with Clemson, Louisville, Notre Dame and Pittsburgh being the home-and-home rotation for 2015.
For the single game rotation in 2014, the Yellow Jackets will play home games against Boston College, Florida State, Louisville, N.C. State and Syracuse, and then hit the road to take on Duke, Miami, Pittsburgh, Virginia and Virginia Tech.
In 2014, the Jackets will welcome Duke, Miami, Virginia, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest to McCamish Pavilion, while traveling to play Boston College, Florida State, North Carolina, N.C. State and Syracuse.
The addition of powerhouse Louisville to the schedule in 2014, along with traditional ACC powers North Carolina, Syracuse and Duke, will make for a tough 2014 schedule.
Things aren’t going to get any easier the following season, traveling to both North Carolina schools and to the Carrier Dome to face the Orange.
Per the ACC release, this schedule begins a 12-year rotation in which teams that are not permanent partners will begin a cycle in which they will play five seasons at home only, five years on the road only and two years home-and-home.
