Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets redshirt freshman defensive lineman Darius Commissiong has been suspended for the first two football games of the 2014 season for violating the Athletic Association’s student-athlete conduct policy, according to a release from the Georgia Tech athletic association.

Head coach Paul Johnson confirmed the report today.

Commissiong will have to sit out Georgia Tech’s first two games of the 2014 season, at home versus Wofford (Aug. 30) and at Tulane (Sept. 6). He will be joining wide receivers Darren Waller and Anthony Autry, and A-back Dennis Andrews, who have also been suspended for violations of team rules.

Defensive line was a concern coming into the season after graduating three starters, and the loss of Commissiong for two games is more a blow the depth of the line than anything else.
