2014 NFL Draft: San Diego Chargers pick Jeremiah Attaochu in 2nd Round

With the 50th pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, the San Diego Chargers picked Georgia Tech DE/LB Jeremiah Attaochu.

Attaochu has to be happy with not only going midway through the second round, but also with his destination.

As they say, what’s the best job in the world? Being a weatherman in San Diego, California.

As for the Chargers, they are team building from the inside out on defense, and Attaochu will fit nicely into their scheme.

The 9-7 Chargers were a Wild Card team in last year’s NFL Playoffs, and after defeating the Cincinnati Bengals in the Wild Card round, lost to the eventual AFC Champion Denver Broncos.

San Diego finished 23rd in total defense last season, and 29th in pass defense, being able to generate almost nothing in terms of a pass rush. Attaochu should help solve that in a hurry.
