2014 NFL Draft: New England Patriots pick Jemea Thomas in 6th Round

With the 206th pick in  the 2014 NFL Draft, the New England Patriots selected Georgia Tech DB Jemea Thomas

At 5′ 9″ and 192 lbs., Thomas is considered an undersized DB.  However, he had a very productive career.

The Patriots finished the regular season with a 12-4 record.  The Patriots made it to the conference championship and lost to the Denver Broncos.

Due to Brandon Browner’s suspension, Thomas looks to compete for a spot in the secondary.  Additionally, his special teams experience may give him another avenue to make the team.  If his play at Tech is any indicator to his chances of making the team, then the odds are in his favor.
