The Georgia Tech Yell0w Jackets placed all five starters on the All-ACC Academic Team it was announced Monday with Ollie Schneiderjans also coming away with the “ACC Golf-Scholar Player of the Year Award”.
This marks the second time in the last three years that the Jackets have put five golfers on the All-Academic squad with Schneiderjans becoming the second Tech golfer to be named Scholar-Athlete of the Year. James White is the other Yellow Jackets’ golfer to accomplish this feat, winning the award back to back years in 2011 and 2012.
This is Ollie Schneiderjans third appearance overall on the list with Anders Albertson out of Woodstock, GA also making the list for his third time since golfing at Tech. He is coming off a great performance in the Palmer Cup where he went 3-1 in his matches and is now in the midst of trying to qualify for the Open Championship that is to be played July 16th – 19th at Royal Liverpool Golf Club in Hoylake, England.
