Dennis Dodd of CBS Sports is a Fan of Georgia Tech’s Chances in 2015
Dennis Dodd is gushing over Paul Johnson and the the Yellow Jackets.
This summer and fall have seen a lot in the media picking Georgia Tech as a darkhorse College Football playoff contender. This time, it is Dennis Dodd of CBS Sports touting the success Paul Johnson has accrued in the face of naysayers.
In the above video, Dodd misstates that Tech has “a load of A-backs and B-backs” returning and having to replace 8 starters on defense. Of course the opposite is true, but still we appreciate the sentiment.
Dodd also mentions the opportunity probable starting B-back Patrick Skov saw in deciding to transfer here from Stanford. Skov only had 14 carries in three seasons as a Cardinal fullback and will be in line to see many more carries as a B-back.
With Justin Thomas, also a popular pick as the best quarterback in the conference, an offensive line returning 4 starters from the team that led the nation in rushing in 2014, and a defense not losing much and a year more senior, the sky’s the limit for the Jackets, and many are realizing the possible path to the playoffs in front of them.
