Georgia Tech Football Recruiting: Jackets offer 2018 athlete, Louisville commitment
The Georgia Tech coaching staff extended an offer on Monday to 2018 athlete Marcus Riley, who is currently committed to Louisville.

offer. According to Riley’s HUDL profile, he plays quarterback and wide receiver for James Rickard High School.

The 404th ranked recruit in the 2018 class is currently a Louisville commitment since last July but still seems to be looking around. The Yellow Jackets became Riley’s 12th offer after receiving an offer from Ole Miss earlier this month.

Riley doesn’t possess elite speed, with a 40-yard dash time of 4.7 but possesses a strong initial burst.
Last season, Riley had 1,282 total yards, a majority of those coming as a wide receiver with 848-yards over 37 receptions. In most of Riley’s highlights as a wide receiver, he is coming out of the slot which speaks to his athleticism and speed despite his 40-yard dash time.
In the near future:
While it remains to be foreseen if Tech will play any factor in Riley’s recruitment, it doesn’t hurt getting involved. The offer to Riley puts Georgia Tech at 86 offers according to 247Sports. 247Sports is slow at times updating the Jackets offer list. That being said, even so, the Jackets are probably around the 93-95 offer mark, among the lowest total in the 2018 recruiting cycle.
With junior year grades being released in the upcoming weeks, the Jackets should be making more offers in the upcoming months. The 2018 recruiting class still has no commitments as June draws closer. It’s still no time to start worrying about the recruiting class but if the Jackets enter mid-July with no commitments, then it will be time to start worrying.
