The Georgia Tech football program will receive an official visit on Memorial Day weekend from four-star wide receiver Bryce Gowdy.

Deerfield Beach (Florida) wide receiver Bryce Gowdy has set an official visit to Georgia Tech on Memorial Day weekend. The 6-foot-2, 180-pound Gowdy announced his decision to visit The Flats via his Twitter account on Friday.

Gowdy is rated by 247Sportrs’s composite rankings as a four-star recruit with an overall of .8925. He’s ranked as a top-350 player nationally, a top-70 wide receiver in the country, and a top-60 player in the Sunshine State. Gowdy is being recruited by Georgia Tech’s wide receiver coach Kerry Dixon per 247Sports.

Overall, Gowdy has reported 24-scholarship offers from across the country, featuring a mixture of both Power 5 and Group of 5 programs. Other notable schools in on the Deerfield Beach native include Arkansas, Auburn, Florida State, and Penn State.

The Yellow Jackets in the 2020 recruiting class have 13 commitments so far including one commitment from a wide receiver. That wideout is Grayson, Georgia native Ryan King. The three-star wideout committed to the Jackets on March 14th. The Jackets currently have the 13th ranked recruiting class according to the 247Sports team recruiting rankings.

.According to his recruiting profile, Gowdy’s official visit to The Flats will be the first one he’s used so far in his recruitment and the only one planned so far. The Jackets have moved fast with their recruitment of Gowdy, only offering the Florida standout earlier this month on May 9th. The quick movement in the relationship between the two can only be considered positive at this point.

Gowdy hasn’t set any type of his decision timeline or commitment date yet at this point in his recruitment. While it’s possible he could decide to commit to the Jackets on his visit next weekend, it probably seems unlikely. That being said, a great visit for Bryce on The Flats could mean the Jackets become his top choice in his recruitment going forward.
