Running Backs – Advantage UGA

Despite the fact that Georgia Tech has a huge stable of backs and depends on running the ball 95% of the time, you have to give the nod to Georgia in this category, and for one simple reason. Todd Gurley. If Gurley gets going in this game, both being handed the ball in his gut and catching it out of the backfield, it will be a long afternoon for the Yellow Jackets defense. Tech can run the ball constantly and keep Gurley off the field, and that is going to be their best defense against one of the most dynamic backs in the nation. The Bulldogs also have a couple of freshmen in J.J. Green and Brendan Douglas who have filled in nicely in the absence of the injured Keith Marshall.
