Special Teams – Advantage GT

Georgia has gone from a special teams and kicker factory, to one of the worst units in the nation. Place kicker Marshall Morgan has been decent enough kicking field goals, but Georgia’s kick coverage on both kickoffs and punts has been just awful, and the punt team in particular has cost the Bulldogs a couple of games this season. If Georgia Tech can just play solid steady special teams like they have all season, it could be the difference in this game.

Important stat here – Georgia Tech has blocked three punts this season (tying them for tops in the nation), and Georgia has allowed two blocked punts. Only Tulane and BYU have allowed more. Watch the punting game carefully.
