Here’s where the geography issue comes into play. Clemson is a mere two hours away from Georgia Tech’s home in Atlanta. That makes for some serious recruiting territory battles. Regardless of the sport, many times the kids on these teams know each other from high school days in both South Carolina and Georgia. Closeness does indeed breed contempt.
