#3 – Howard’s Rock

Yes, the aforementioned (see slide 7) rock, brought to Clemson from Death Valley, Ca. It’s kept under glass, and guarded like it was the a sacred relic. The way they treat this hunk of bedrock makes no sense, given that it was originally a doorstop in former coach Frank Howard’s office, who at one point instructed his staff to “throw it in a ditch or over the fence.” Maybe the Yellow Jackets should start rubbing a hunk of radium as they run on the field.
