#10 – What The Heck is a Hokie?

Yeah, let’s just start things off with this ridiculous mascot name. A Hokie? WTH? Even Virginia Tech themselves can’t really give a straight answer (as witnessed here on their own website). A turkey? A spirit yell? A made-up word that never even made it to the pop culture lexicon? Give us a break already. Just find some random piece of roadkill next season, and make that the official VT mascot moving forward.
