You could have contributed. All you had to do was beat Auburn in the Sugar Bowl, and then all the complaining and nonsensical lunacy about the SEC being pushed aside that year would have gone away. ESPN would have gone on about their business without deciding they needed to go on a decade-long mea culpa to the SEC. But your failure in that game cemented not only Auburn’s undefeated season, but 10 years of suffering for every other conference in the nation.
