#7 – Krzyzewskiville
While we admittedly have a love-hate relationship with Coach K, we can’t say the same for this bit of Duke tradition. Krzyzewskiville is the phenomenon that occurs before certain men’s basketball games on the Duke campus. It’s the tent city outside Cameron Indoor stadium where students camp out for tickets admission to the game. Sounds spirited right? What if we told you that students pitch tents and camp out for months prior to one of the designated “tenting games”. As many as twelve people can occupy a specific tent group and the entire process is regulated by Duke’s Student Government, stating that there must be a certain number of students in the tent at regular, periodic checks. Umm…next.
