#2 – RB CJ Leggett (Solid Verbal)

CJ is a 3-star running back from Suwanee GA. who played at North Gwinnett High School. The first thing you see when you look at CJ, is his height, which is listed at 5’ 10”, but don’t let that distract you. Leggett is a runner built low to the ground and can make people miss in tight spaces.

CJ isn’t afraid to run the ball up the middle and will fight to gain yards on his own. He can break first contact, run through arm tackles and keep his legs driving and will typically fall forward at the end of his runs. He has good power in his legs and bursts of speed when he hits the second level.

Leggett also has good hands and receiving skills, and should be able to come out of the backfield and post some great all-purpose yardage totals. This is an area where Leggett could come in and contribute right away. It will be hard to replace Robert Godhigh, but if the coaching staff can get CJ some touches, in Coach Johnson’s, “up the middle running”, this could be a huge addition to the running game.
