A-Back Nate Cottrell – Knoxville West High School/Knoxville, TN
Nate Cottrell can catch and run out of the backfield very well. Heck, he even threw a TD pass. His talents are going to make watching his progress extremely intriguing as he grows in this system at A-Back.

Cottrell grabbed 35 passes for 685 yards (19.5 yards per catch) and nine touchdowns. In his high school career he finished with a record 3,974 yards and 48 touchdowns. His yards per carry average was a ridiculous 11.8 yards on 334 carries.
Oh by the way, he can return kicks as well. He averaged 40.7 yards per return , totaled 937 yards on 23 returns, and ran in five touchdowns.
As a senior, Cotrell ran for a school record 1,956 yards and finished with 5,594 total yards and 63 touchdown for his career.
All of these on field achievements culminated into Cotrell being named an All-District, All-Region, and All-State running back in his junior and senior years.
He was also named First Team All-PrepXtra Running Back in 2013 and 2014, All-Region Running Back of the Year and Returner of the Year in 2013 and 2014, and named to the High School Heroes Team in 2013 and 2014. Cotrell was also named High School Heroes Player of the Year for both of those years.
