Georgia Tech’s defensive backfield in 2014 was a turnover creating machine. 14 interceptions and six fumbles were caused by the defensive backfield alone last season.
Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets
Defensive coordinator Ted Roof, will be losing safety Isaiah Johnson to graduation.
Johnson led the defensive backs in tackles with 64 from the safety position. Johnson was strong coming from the secondary to stop the run. That is going to be sorely missed in 2015.
However, Roof is going to have plenty of defensive back experience returning for 2015.
Chris Milton, Jamal Golden and D.J. White should be the leaders in the defensive backfield going into next season.
The Yellow Jackets still did a solid job of restocking their defensive backfield for the future with their 2015 recruiting class.
