Yellow Jackets offensive guard Michael Preddy, according to the article, decided he was going to stop playing football to go back home to Charleston, S.C. so he could attend College of Charleston.
Preddy was an offensive line signee in the recruiting class of 2014.
In the 2014 season, Nick Brigham played seven games as back up for the Yellow Jackets. But after multiple concussions he decided that it would be best to take a medical scholarship and give up his playing career.
Brigham actually had two years of eligibility remaining before making this decision to protect his health.
Concussions are nothing to play with, and there is added caution involved in todays’ game because of the research that is continuously being done about Post Concussion Syndrome along with the tragic stories that have come out of the NFL as it pertains to the brain injuries.
