The Dallas Cowboys Release Synjyn Days During OTA’s
Given the state of the Dallas Cowboys running back situation, it is kind of surprising that Synjyn Days was clipped by the team.
Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets
However, according to dfw.cbslocal.com, that is exactly what happened when the Cowboys released the former Georgia Tech star running back to make room and bring in former Baylor running back Lache Seastrunk.
The Dallas Cowboys running back situation is a question mark going into 2015 because of losing leading rusher DeMarco Murray to the Philadelphia Eagles during free agency.
Dallas’ stable of running backs consist of injury prone running back and former Oakland Raider Darren McFadden, Joseph Randle, Lance Dunbar, Ryan Williams, and now Seastrunk.
This seemed like a team that Days should have been able to break in with, but according to the cbslocal.com report, “Days did not even receive any reps last Thursday”.
It is still early enough in the offseason for Days to get picked up. It is hard to imagine that a team would not be interested in a 230 pound power runner.
What is strange about this move by the Cowboys is that the rumor is they were looking into bringing in a big power runner to run behind their massive offensive line.
But in the end, they clip a big back like Synjyn Days for a 5-foot-9 205 pound back in Lache Seastrunk.
Some people may come out and say that Days did not impress in the Cowboys camp. The reality might be that Days did not fit the direction the Dallas Cowboys offense wants to go in.
