RB Justin Thomas

First of all, the former Yellow Jackets quarterback had no chance of being a quarterback at the next level. That would be due to him running a triple-option offense while at Georgia Tech, an offense that NFL teams don’t see much potential out of when it comes to quarterbacks at the next level. For running backs and wide receivers it could be a quality offense to have a player from but for quarterbacks, not so much.

With that being said, Thomas knew that if he was going to make it at the next level he would have to become a running back or a player in the secondary. With a 4.35, 40-yard dash, Thomas does show a skill set that a team could convert him into a quality player at another position.

Final Prediction: Undrafted free agent – Thomas won’t get drafted just to having no set position right now but he definitely seems like a player who will be scooped by a team following the draft. He won’t make any NFL roster next fall but could very well end up on a practice squad, helping him develop.

With that, that’s all five former Yellow Jackets that could be drafted this past weekend. Make sure to check YellowJackedUp.com throughout draft weekend for any updates from the NFL Draft regarding former Yellow Jackets.
