Three-star defensive tackle Jordan Redmond received an offer on Thursday frm Georgia Tech.

Paul Johnson and staff sent out a new offer on Thursday, one that went overlooked with the NFL Draft starting on Thursday. The recipient of the newest offer is Kissimmee, Florida’s Jordan Redmond received the offer, his 25th total. The Florida native is a recruit that the Jackets have had interest in for quite some time before they pulled the trigger to offer him on Thursday.

Redmond checks in as a 6-foot-0, 292-pound defensive tackle who has the skillset to be successful at the next level. Redmond possesses a great strength that allows him to bull rush offensive lineman in route to the quarterback.

Redmond is a prospect who shows great potential but still has a bit to work on. With that being said, Redmond shows a tremendous skill set that could make him an elite player in the ACC. Throughout his highlight tape, Redmond shows off a tremendous amount of strength and burst off the line of scrimmage, allowing him to get leverage on the opposing offensive lineman.

Redmond’s offer list is quite expansive for a three-star recruit, a list that features a good amount of power five programs. Leading the way in Redmond’s recruitment currently appears to be Minnesota and Kentucky according to 247Sports.

Currently, at the defensive tackle position, the Jackets have nine offers out on the table. Out of those nine offers, two prospects, five-star Taron Vincent and three-star Lamarius Benson have committed to Ohio State and South Carolina respectively.

One defensive tackle to watch will be IMG Academy’s TK Chimdeza who is currently high on the Yellow Jackets as well as Georgia Tech archrival Georgia.

Redmond has visited The Flats prior to his offer with the most recent visit coming last Friday during the Jackets’ spring game. The Jackets are expected to become a big player in Redmond’s recruitment now with them extending an offer.
