With football season a couple months away, let’s reminisce on Justin Thomas’ career one final time.
Georgia Tech football is right around the corner. A nine-win season in 2016 and sixteen returning starters gives Yellow Jacket fans plenty to look forward to heading into the 2017 season. However, Georgia Tech has a massive hole to fill. After three seasons with Justin Thomas at the helm, Paul Johnson has a tall task on his hands in finding a quarterback like Smoov – and while we could discuss the possibilities of who will be filling the role, let’s just reminisce on Justin Thomas’ incredible career one last time.
While it was hard to choose between all of #5’s marvelous memories, we narrowed it down to five plays that best display the true beauty of Justin Thomas running the option offense. Before getting to the top five, here are a few honorable mentions.
Honorable Mention
- Justin Thomas first touchdown in a GT uniform – a 44 yard scramble against Elon.
- 82 yard touchdown run against Duke in 2016
- Beating Georgia both times in Athens. Not a play, but still legendary.
