#5: Thomas drops a dime on Smelter

Justin Thomas was a very underrated passer. In his three seasons as a starter at Tech, Thomas racked up 4754 yards and 40 touchdowns through the air. While this may not seem like a lot, it’s quite remarkable given that Paul Johnson’s offense only calls for around 15 passes per game. So for #5, we wanted to show off his touch a little bit.

#5 – Justin Thomas connects with DeAndre Smelter for a five-yard touchdown and a 16-3 lead for the Yellow Jackets. A wonderfully conducted drive to open the second half capped off by this beautiful lob gave the Yellow Jackets a 16-3 lead over the Clemson Tigers. GT would go on to win this game, 28-6.
