Oct. 28 – Clemson Tigers

The Clemson Tigers have played in the last two national title games and will be coming off their first championship since the 1981 season.

Like the Yellow Jackets, however, the Tigers will also be looking to replace one of their program’s most prolific field generals in Deshaun Watson.

Last season’s loss to Pittsburgh helped other ACC teams hold out hope that even the most talented of Clemson squads could be beaten, but the Tigers are still loaded with talent at nearly every position and are clearly well coached.

The good news for Tech fans is that Paul Johnson has found ways to get the better of Dabo Swinney, even with some loaded rosters, but Clemson’s lovable CEO has seemingly sealed the leaks and sails a much tighter ship of late.

With talent and depth for years to come, Tech will need to find a way to once again become an ointment fly to their friends up I-85. It won’t be an easy task, but history teaches us that it’s certainly possible.
