Nov. 11 – Virginia Tech

No matchup in the history of the ACC Championship Game’s history has a regular season matchup decided a division’s representative than the battle of the tech’s.

For the first eight seasons of the title game’s existence, the Coastal Division champion was the winner of annual rivalry between Georgia Tech and Virginia Tech. One of these two teams has appeared in in 10 of the 12 ACC title games.

If either the Hokies or the Yellow Jackets want to have any hope of winning an ACC title game, and remaining relevant on the national scale, it should be a top priority to win on November 11.

Obviously, all Coastal Division games will be important for Georgia Tech, but the recent history of this heated rivalry has proven either a roadblock or a stepping stone for the Jackets.
