It was the third year under Paul Johnson and another season where Tech fans had high hopes for the team, as the Yellow Jackets were coming off their best season since George O’Leary after an 11-3, ACC Championship winning season.

The headline of the letdown season came in week two when the 15th ranked Yellow Jackets confidently traveled to Kansas only and left with an embarrassing loss to the Jayhawks. The rest of the season stuck to the trend, and the six wins that the Jackets were able to get were against teams that they’re supposed to beat – the best win coming against a decent North Carolina team.

The 2010 season was wrapped up with a sixth straight bowl loss to Air Force in the Independence Bowl.
