Florida (23-96):

While Florida is the third team from the all-time winning percentage list to show up, it’s a series that is interesting and unfortunately appears to be dead.

First of all, these two programs have not met since 1981 so this series, for now, should be considered dead as said above. Outside the possibility of meeting in a bowl game, it doesn’t appear these two will rekindle any kind of flame in the next decade. One of the more interesting notes from the series, however, are the six ties, the most that the Jackets have against any program in school history.

When looking at the history of the series between the two schools, it’s a series obviously most dominated by the Jackets in a 32-year stretch (1931-1963) that the Jackets won 16 of 21 games including a 42-7 stomping of the Gators in 1948.

That being said, the Jackets longest winning streak in the history of the series is only six games, that took place in a ten year stretch from 1942-to-1952. Florida’s longest winning streak all time, is two-games in two separate occasions. The first time happened in 1940 and 1941 while the second happened forty years later in 1980 and 1981.
