Duke Blue Devils (51-32-1):

Another series with over 80 games played, these two programs have stuffed a lot of history into a rather short time. Since 1933, the two programs have faced each other 84 times in 84 years. That’s right, the two programs have not missed playing each other since 1933.

In the first 13-years of the rivalry, Duke was the pretty dominant team between the two, winning 10 out of 13. Since then, the Blue Devils have won just 19 games against Georgia Tech over 71 years while the Jackets have pulled out 48 more victories.

That being said, the series has been characterized by trends for both programs. Following the Devils early success, the Jackets had a strong run until about 1972 when the Blue Devils won 9 of the next twelve.

In more recent history, it’s been all Georgia Tech. Since the famed 1990 season, Georgia Tech has defeated Duke in 22 of 26 games. Though the Blue Devils did have a two-year win streak in 2014 and 2015 they’re first time winning consecutive games since 1987 to 1989.

The two programs will meet for the 85th consecutive season come next November when the Jackets travel to Durham to take on the Blue Devils at Wallace Wade Stadium.
