 Jay Jones (RS FR):

A member of the 2016 recruiting class, Jones redshirted his true freshman season in 2016 and looked to make an impact as early as 2017. One of the top prospects in the state of Alabama in 2016, Jones showed the athletic ability in high school as well as the spring game to be a contender for the starting job.

In the spring game, Jones showed immense athleticism and decision making when keeping the ball, rushing for 104-yards on 13-carries, an average of 6.2 per carry. When it comes to passing the ball, Jones still has plenty to work on as he completed just 2-of-6 passing attempts for 41-yards in the spring game.

He did have mistakes during the spring game when it came to his decision making as he failed to throw the ball away on the last series for the White team. Chances are the quarterback battle will come down to Jordan and Marshall but don’t count Jones just yet.
