Atlantic Division:

The Atlantic Division has produced six of the last ACC Champions with Florida State and Clemson each collecting three. Before that, the Coastal won four straight, it’s a series of streaks since the first ACC Championship in 2005. With Florida State and Clemson being two of the top teams in the ACC, it would be shocking not to see one of them lifting the trophy once again in 2017. Here’s how the ACC media voted on the Atlantic Division.

  1. Florida State (121 first-place votes)
  2. Clemson (37)
  3. Louisville (9)
  4. NC State
  5. Wake Forest
  6. Syracuse
  7. Boston College

No real shocker in the Atlantic voting. The Seminoles take the top spot with 121 first-place votes and as shown above, it wasn’t even close. The Seminoles return a highly talented team including the best player in all of college football in Derwin James. Clemson will still be a strong team in 2017 and the only thing that may stop them from getting back to the ACC Championship game and perhaps even the College Football Playoffs is their quarterback situation. Louisville is still a dangerous team but a weak offensive line and a defense that lost plenty of talent may be hard for Lamar Jackson to get the Cardinals through.
