#1 – Clemson Tigers:

There is only one thing keeping the Clemson Tigers from the top spot in this power ranking and perhaps from another College Football Playoff berth. That one thing is their quarterback situation, a spot they’ve been spoiled with recently by having Tajh Boyd and Deshaun Watson. Their defense may be the best in the country in 2017 and without a doubt have two of the best defensive lineman in Christian Wilkins and Dexter Lawrence. While there are some spots with minor questions, the Tigers outside of quarterback have a top-10 team at the least. If their quarterback situation turns out strong, watch out.
