Commitment #10 came on Thursday for the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets landing three-star corner Jaylon King.

Nashville, Tennessee native Jaylon King has made his college decision and the three-star corner will be spending four-years on The Flats. King committed to the Georgia Tech football program on Thursday afternoon.

King is ranked by 247Sports as the 465th best player in the country as well as the 14th best player in the state of Tennessee. He is currently ranked as the Jackets second highest recruit only behind T.K Chimedza. He is the second commitment in the month July joining fellow cornerback Zamari Walton.

Prior to his commitment, King held 11 scholarship offers with a majority coming from power five programs. Both in-state programs Tennessee and Vanderbilt were high on the Tennessee product.

The Jackets 2018 recruiting class has really picked up momentum over the last two months after entering June with no commitments. One thing that is starting to show is that 2018 recruiting is going to be extremely strong defensively. Currently, four of the Jackets top five commitments will all be playing defense once they arrive on The Flats.

Paul Johnson’s coaching staff still has several high-target prospects left on their board. Four-star corner Jaycee Horn and three-star defensive end Nick Fulwider are just two prospects the Jackets are hoping for commitments from in the upcoming months. Three-star corner Jaunyeh Thomas is another name to watch as Thomas is very high on the Jackets recently.

The one thing that will definitely be true going forward is the Jackets secondary will be buzzing in the future.
