Due to Hurricane Irma, Georgia Tech’s Thursday night game against Miami on October 12th has been moved back to October 14th.
While Georgia Tech awaits the fate of next weekend’s game against UCF in Orlando, the Jackets have had their October 12th game against Miami moved back two days to October 14th.

The schedule change comes after the ACC moved the date of Miami’s matchup against in-state rival Florida State to October 7th. The Hurricanes canceled their game against Arkansas State this weekend due to the expected impact of Hurricane Irma.
The Hurricane which is making its landfall in Florida late Saturday night is expected to be one of the costliest Hurricanes ever and is expected heavily damage parts of Florida especially Miami.
Schools throughout the Sunshine state have all been forced to change their schedules and plans. Here’s a complete list of all the FBS games that have been impacted by Irma so far.

FAU who traveled to play Wisconsin on Saturday announced their plans to stay in Madison for the foreseeable future until it is safe to return to their campus in Boca Raton.
With the expected damage from Irma, all football games in the state of Florida next week are without a doubt in question. Earlier on Saturday, it was announced that UCF will be closed on Tuesday which could potentially affect the Knights practice schedule. At this point, it is hard to believe that the Yellow Jackets will be playing in Orlando next week.
The Yellow Jackets earned their first victory of the season on Saturday, defeating Jacksonville State 37-10 behind four touchdowns from TaQuon Marshall.
