Georgia Tech’s biggest recruiting weekend of the season is nearly here and the Yellow Jackets have a few big recruits coming through.

Each year, every program has one major recruiting weekend. For some, those recruiting weekend will be bigger than others. For the traditional, blue-blood programs, nearly hundred recruits could sometimes be visiting. With other programs, it’s a smaller number. For Georgia Tech football, eight recruits so far have announced they will be visiting for Saturday night’s homecoming game against Wake Forest.

Updates:

2020 DL Damarjhe Lewis

A potential big-time defensive lineman recruit will be on campus according to Chad Simmons of Rivals.

2020 QB Michael Wright

The class of 2020 quarterback from Woodward Academy will be visiting The Flats on Saturday according to Cory Fravel of 247Sports.

2019 OLB Xavier Robinson

Robinson announced his attendance via Twitter on Saturday morning.

2019 WR Hunter Williams

There are no recruiting profiles out there on Williams but a believed to be family member confirmed that the Whitewater WR would be attending.

2019 DE Kristian Varner

Varner announced via his twitter that he would be attending Saturday night’s game. Varner is an unranked recruit.

2019 QB R.J McDaniel Jr*

While this hasn’t been confirmed by McDaniel himself, it appears that the Locust Grove native will be making the trip up to The Flats. Tech has shown interest in the 2019 QB and is being recruited primarily by defensive backs coach Joe Speed.

2019 CB Tyler Judson

A Louisiana native, Judson will be making the trip for Saturday’s game according to his twitter account.

2018 3* WR Jatavious Harris

A Tennessee commit, Harris has recently opened up his recruitment again on Saturday will be visiting The Flat for the first time. Prior to opening up his recruitment, the Jackets had not shown interest in Milledgeville, Georgia native. The Jackets currently hold two wide receiver commitments in the 2018 recruiting class.

2018 3* AB Dontae Smith – Commitment

The Tech commit will be visiting Georgia Tech for the second time since his commitment. His last visit was on September 9th. His commitment to the Yellow Jackets seems pretty much secured which leaves Paul Johnson and the staff one less worry on the recruiting trail.

2018 3* DE Julius Wieschof – Official visit

Earlier this week, we discussed Weischof and his official visit. The Germany native is down to his final seven schools and is committing next Friday. This will be his known visit to The Flats and is coming at a great time, with it being his last visit before his commitment. Saturday’s game could be the nail in the coffin in his recruitment. He’ll receive the most attention of any recruit on Saturday and through the weekend.

2019 3* DE Isaiah Chaney

A member of the 2019 recruiting class, Chaney is a three-star weak-side defensive end but has yet to be offered by the Yellow Jackets, perhaps an offer on Saturday is in store for the Cartersville native. So far Chaney has made one visit to The Flats already back on September 9th. He has offers from Syracuse, Toledo, and Wake Forest. The Demon Deacons so far seem like Georgia Tech’s biggest competitor for Chaney.

2019 4* Curtis Fann

More from Football

A four-star recruit in the 2019 recruiting class, Fann is a top-250 recruit in 247Sports composite rankings. So far Fann has been offered by 10 programs including Alabama Clemson, Florida State, and Georgia. The Yellow Jackets have yet to offer Fann and if they don’t get involved soon, the Jackets probably don’t stand much of a chance in landing Fann.

2019 DB Tyrek Presley

An unranked recruit right now, Presley is taking his second visit to Tech this season. He was previously attended the Jackets 35-17 victory over Pittsburgh

2019 DB Donte Justice

There’s not much out there on Justice, a 2019 defensive back from Baldwin High School. This appears to be his first visit to The Flats. Auburn, Florida, Georgia have also shown interest according to Rivals.

2019 AB Cross Patton

Like Presley and Justice, there’s not much out there on Patton at this time and has no 247Sports profile. Saturday appears to be his first visit to Patton. The only other FBS program to show noted interest so far is Georgia according to Rivals.

Next: Wake Forest defense will be no cake walk for Jackets' offense

With all that, these are the eight recruits that have currently announced their intentions to attend Saturday night’s game against Wake Forest. That being said, the chances are that more than eight recruits will be attending Saturday night’s game. If any more recruits announce their intention to attend, they’ll be added to this list!
