Predictions:

Dylan Callaghan-Croley (Lead Expert): Georgia Tech 24 – Wake Forest 20

“It’s deja vu all over again” – Yogi Berra

You may have some deja vu with this 24-20 sore as it was the exact score the last time these two programs met. This game is going to end up being a pretty close game when all said and done. Don’t let the numbers fool you, the Deacons defense played well against both Florida State and Clemson. The Jackets and Deacons on paper are pretty similar especially talent wise. The Yellow Jackets will need to play mistake-free football and play full four quarters. It’s going to be a fun game and with two teams that have a lot to fight for and love running the ball, it’s going to be a war.

The last time Wake Forest came to Bobby Dodd, it ended in a thrilling overtime win for the Yellow Jackets en route to an ACC championship season. This year’s game shouldn’t be nearly as close. Shouldn’t be… but Tech will have to clean up their play on both sides of the ball in the second half. Wake Forest has a solid defense and can score when they need to. They played both FSU and Clemson close and haven’t lost a game otherwise. Tech’s top 15 defense will need to get stops when it counts and play an entire game. The offense will need to keep pace with itself for four quarters as well. Look for Georgia Tech to win a hard fought game, by pulling away in the end.
