Stat #3: Clemson’s 6.1 yards per play

Outside of Clemson’s 27-24 loss to Clemson two weeks ago, the Clemson offense has not seemed to miss a beat with the loss of Deshaun Watson. So far this season, the Tigers have been explosive, to say the least.

So far this season, the Tigers are averaging 74 plays a game at 6.1 yards per play for an average of 450-yards of offense per game. Their 450-yards of offense per game ranks 41st in the country. For reference, the Oklahoma State Cowboys rank first with 584.6 yards of offense per game.

Freshman running back Travis Etienne has been the biggest big-play culprit for the Tigers with an average of 8.7 yards per rush this season. Sophomore Tavien Feaster has also been a big play threat on the ground for the Tigers, averaging 6.7 yards per play from scrimmage this season.

Through the air, quarterback Kelly Bryant has averaged 11.5 yards per completion this season. That being said, Bryant has only thrown for four touchdowns this season. He’s also thrown four interceptions.
