Guard – #23 Jon Brown

A 6-foot-5, 172-point guard from Miami, Brown comes to Tech after turning down offers from several mid-major programs. The Miami native also comes to Tech with family ties as his uncle is none other than Tech legend Kenny Anderson.

Brown leaves high school as a prolific scorer, to say the least. While only the 15-16 season is available on MaxPreps, Brown’s scoring ability is easily seen. During the 2015-16 season, Brown averaged 24.6 points, 5.6 assists, and 8.1 rebound per game, defensively he averaged almost two steals per game and one block per game.

During that 2015-16 season, Brown had an amazing 51-point, 15 rebound, 15 assist performance. For the season, Brown’s 24.6 points per game were the 10th highest points per game mark in the state of Florida.

Brown has a ton of potential and could become a great rotational player for the Yellow Jackets down the road.
