Duke – LB Joe Giles-Harris

So far this season, sophomore linebacker Joe Giles-Harris has been flat out dominating for the Blue Devils and should get some All-American attention next month.

Giles-Harris is simply a game changer on the defensive side of the ball and can wreak havoc on an opposing teams offense. So far this season, Giles-Harris has wracked up 96 tackles including 14 tackles for a loss. He also has one interception and four pass deflections on the season.

Giles-Harris has been a consistent force for Duke’s defense and has helped lead the Blue Devils to own a top-25 defense this season. Through 10 games, the sophomore linebacker has recorded 10+ tackles four times, including back-to-back games against Virginia Tech and Army. His season low on the season is six, which he had against Northwestern early this season in September.

There’s no question that Giles-Harris will have an impact on Saturday’s game. The challenge for the Jackets’ offense will be to minimize his impact, not many teams have been able to do that this season, which creates an interesting matchup on Saturday.
