Georgia Tech Football vs Georgia 2017: Players to watch
Georgia Bulldogs: RB Nick Chubb/Sony Michel
While this is technically two players, Chubb and Michel make up one of the best backfield in America. This season, the two have been nearly unstoppable rushing for 1,863-yards and 24 touchdowns.
Last week, the Jackets defense got ran over by the Duke Blue Devils who racked up 319 total yards on 51 carries. The Bulldogs have a much better offensive line than the Blue Devils and a much better backfield which puts the Jackets in a very dangerous spot on Saturday.
The Bulldogs this season has averaged 267.3 yards per game this season on the ground including three-games with 300+ yards. In total, there have only been two games this season the Dawgs have failed to rack up 200+ rushing yards, those games being against Auburn (46-yards) and Notre Dame (185-yards).
The Jackets are not going to be able to completely stop the Bulldogs rushing attack. But to have a chance to win, they’ll have to stop the dynamic duo as best as they can. If the Jackets rush defense plays anything like they did against Duke, it’s going to be a long day for the Jackets defense and a “no contest”.
