Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets: LB Brant Mitchell

To defeat UGA on Saturday, the Jackets will obviously have to stop the Dawgs run game. If they’re going to do so, they’ll need a complete game out of junior linebacker Brant Mitchell.

Mitchell this season has been in and out of the lineup due to injuries and when he’s not in the lineup, his absence is easy to see. Mitchell is the Jackets best defender against the run. While he’s not able to do it all by himself, as seen last week, Mitchell makes a huge difference defensively.

He’s not a complete linebacker like Roquan Smith but Mitchell is just as important to the Jackets if not more than Smith is to UGA. Mitchell will need to have the game of his career on Saturday for the Jackets to have a chance to win the game.
