2. More resources

It’s no secret that the football program doesn’t receive nearly the money it needs to stay at the top of the ACC. The Jackets overall suffer from a lack of resources, especially on the recruiting trail.

Don’t fool yourself the Georgia Tech academic standard is not the biggest reason the Jackets don’t recruit well. The Jackets struggles on the recruiting trails trace back to the money that is put into the program. The problem the Jackets face is that the ACC is only getting better while they stay stagnant.

If the administration keeps neglecting the football program, the program is going to be mediocre most seasons. They’re not asking for the budget of Alabama or Ohio State but don’t expect to go far year in and year out when your resources are among the lowest in the power five conferences.

While they have improved the athletic department budget since then, it still ranks among the lowest in the power five.
