Notable schools that had shown interest in King but did not offer were Alabama, Notre Dame, and Stanford.

The first thing that’s easy to say about King is that he is an extremely smart kid. Not only did he get accepted into Tech but racking up offers from academic powers such as Princeton and Vanderbilt while having interest from Notre Dame and Stanford is highly impressive.

Vanderbilt was King’s first offer according to his 247Sports timeline. The Commodores were considered the favorite for King before his commitment to the Jackets, most likely due to his proximity to the university.

The Jackets joined King’s recruitment in January of last season and were able to earn his commitment on July 27th. Ever since King has been a hard commitment to the Jackets. He’ll be back on campus in January for his official visit.
