OFFERED: Peter Parrish – Phenix City, AL (Central)

Parrish, a three-star quarterback out of Phenix City, Alabama is ranked as the 16th best dual threat quarterback in the country according to 247Sports composite rankings. The recruiting service themselves are a bit higher on Parrish as they rank him as the ninth best dual threat in the nation. The Jackets have been recruiting Parrish for a while but decided to offer the 6-foot-2, 190-pound quarterback on Wednesday.

Parrish currently holds nine offers with a mixture of group of five and power five offers. Other schools that have offered the Alabama native include Cincinnati, Florida Atlantic, Indiana, Maryland, Mississippi State, and Virginia. Alabama and Florida State have also showed interest according to his 247Sports profile.

Parrish had a strong junior season for the Central High School Devils as he accounted for 2,151 all-purpose yards and 31 touchdowns. Parrish’s HUDL tape shows off Parrish’s great athleticism when taking off and his quality abilities when it comes to passing the ball. His passing skills are suitable for the Jackets triple-option offense but could also project well to a spread offense.

Parrish doesn’t appear to have a front runner just in his recruitment. However, if the Miami Hurricanes were to offer Parrish, it appears it would be extremely hard for the dual threat quarterback to turn down the Hurricanes.
